The difference between the House of Commons and the House of Lords is that the House of Commons is a democratic body. The House of Commons is elected by vote of all Britons over the age of 18. The function of the House of Lords is the revision of the bills. Members of the House of Lords are appointed by the Queen and the members are advised by the prime minister.
